    2015 Jeep Cherokee limited
    As new
    Wife was shopping and the rear tailgate on our 2015 cherokee would not close or lock. I went there and could not find a problem so I told her to drive it home closed but not locked. light on dash said tailgate open all the way home. she got home and I got all my testers and tools to attempt to find a problem. I pushed the button on the dash and it opened , Pushed it again and it closed and locked. went to the rear and opened and closed it with the button under the gate. it now works as designed , made several cycles and no problem to fix. Any experience with this or any ideas what to check. I always say if it ain't broke don't fix it. Just do not want this to happen again. its her car.
