I am in the process of swapping my front drums to disc on a 1969 Jeepster. The truck had spacers red thread locked on, it was a huge headache getting the lug nuts off the The studs broke loose from the hubs and were spinning, had to drill out a few studs. I need to put new spacers on so my wheel will clear the caliper, they came with red thread locker that is to be used. I don't want to deal with that again if I need to have the rotor milled or replace the barings in the future. What would you do?

Quality wheel spacer manufacturers recommend thread locker to ensure the lug nuts stay torqued to spec. With all the wheels torqued to spec onto the new hub bearings the risk for loose studs should be minimal. If the new wheels have the proper offset or backspacing or increased wheel diameter then the wheel spacers may not be needed to clear the calipers.

I would think the blue thread locker would be more than sufficient for this. If you use the high strength red, you have to heat the nuts to get them off without damage.
