I believe I keep having problems related to a PCM replacement. On the second refurbished one in 6 months!!?? Has anyone heard of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee PCMs being a 50/50 bad because of soldering? Having P0339 and P0340 codes and sensors replaced five times...just to have the car run rough and engine light go back on after driving 200-400 miles.

anyone with experience...input is much appreciated!!

I had a pcm replaced in a '07 Grand and the dealer had to install it.

Do you know much about Jeeps? I’m having the check engine light keep coming on and car is running rough in that 55-75+ range.

I’ve posted about this in other threads. For some reason it seems like an alternator and pcm change caused a PO339 code . Now engine light on with seatbelt light flashing.

That is a crankshaft position sensor intermittent failure code, look it up. Not a good thing, go see the dealer. They are the specialists, or claim to be. When the dealer replaces the computer, it has to get what is called reflashed. When I had the dealer install the computer in my Grand, it did not solve the problem, but trading it in did.

Ain't that the truth! When the authorized jeep dealer can't successfully reflash + resolve the PCM the best fix is unload the problem.

That really isn’t an option...I just bought the vehicle and it is not paid for. I don’t really know what to do. I do suspect problems with the PCM and/or a short...or alternator or battery. Why would my battery be good but at 41% after a load test.

Today when I had it scanned it threw a P0334 code and battery was tested (guy said it tested good but was at 41%) and he said alternator tested good. I brought car home and then an hour later wife goes to go to work and it is dying out and stalling. I put a trickle charge on the battery and removed the cables. When I put cables back on engine light was off and car started up. I was about to go for a test drive and as I got to end of driveway engine light came back on. I turned it off and locked up I noticed that I have a blinking red light on that never appeared before when locking car. Interesting.
