Ryobi Dual Power LED Spotlight

For trouble shooting the JEEP on the road at night or night trail use, etc I picked up the Ryobi P717 dual power LED spotlight 18V battery/12V worklight for the JEEP or job site. Extremely powerful, bit bulky but light-weight reliable LED worklight. Priced at $49 and comes with a 12V automotive cord or runs on any Ryobi 18V battery. Over 2500 lumens of light with a lower setting available.
The only con is the placement of the 12V adapter on the base making it impossible for the light to stand on its own.
The power of the light was very impressive and I started thinking of a solution. Retrieved a bad compact Ryobi battery, recycled the contents and made a few holes in the case. Now the light can stand on the base and still maintain dual power functionality.
