I have a jeep latitude 2014 with 130,000 miles. The service shifter light came in last night. It appeared 2 different times. It did not come on today. I just started it 2x and did not drive it anywhere.

I have a lifetime powertrain warranty from mopar that I purchased when I bought the jeep. I called my dealer today to get it serviced. They said it's not covered under that? On my plan under transmission is says shifter mechanism.

So i think its covered... has anyone had this not covered under this warranty?

She also said it's safe to drive... for the next week ... hopefully it will be ok

Intermittent problems can be tough to isolate. Perhaps scan for DTC (fault codes). Local auto parts store should be able to assist.
