    I ordered a used shifter 5sp manual. The part that goes into the trans with the black bushing is too long. I ordered rough country shifter extension same problem.
    the trans must have been replaced. Can any one please help.

    yes I will pull the shifter out when I get home. The length problem is from the ball socket down
    will post tonight.

    Also can you post part # of the two wrong parts you received?

    Although it doesn't specifically show a TJ Wrangler you can clearly see the difference.
    Either the TJ could use the same AX15 that's in the XJ Cherokee or someone could have swapped an XJ AX15 into your Wrangler or the TJ shifter is different all together but I haven't found a picture/part # for it yet.
