The T18 is a large heavy truck 4-speed, typically with a granny low 1st gear, about 6 or 7 to 1. Can't remember exact ratio. If you plan to rock crawl, the T18 is great. Just avoid the T18 that was used in a Jeeps for a few years with only a 4:1 first gear. That is not low enough for rock crawling. The T150 that came with the AMC 304 has a pathetically high first gear. The SM465 is another popular granny low truck 4-speed.
