Hi All, New here. Just bought a 1988 YJ. Runs great until I turn on the headlights. Any ideas?

Turning on the headlights are probably causing a short circut that is not fuse protected. That would be a good place to start looking.

Bad battery connection or weak battery. I had the same thing happen to me several years ago.

As mentioned check the positive battery cables for tightness or corrosion. Don't forget to inspect the GROUND wires too as there are more than one and they will deteriorate and fail causing issuesthumbnail.jpg .
