Yeah...I like that. I'm looking at replacing my stock top with a fastback top. And...looking at replacement spare tire carrier to compliment it. Looks like a great set up Rouge26. Me likie very much. Only issue I have. My 3rd brake light, is the center of my spares wheel. Not sure I can pass inspection with it. Dumb ass drivers behind me may not be able to see while their reading their emails at 6am.. Lol. Ya know.
Where do you plan on mounting your 3rd brake light? Does your state require it?

One option for Rogue26 is to combine the 3rd brake light with the license plate relocation project. Poison Spider has an LED license plate+3rd brake light combo or he can drill a small hole in the vertical support bracket. In your case the PS tramp stamp gives you options as you want your behind seen.

I did a minor adjustment on the carrier today.

I really like the look of it now.

My state doesn’t require a third brake light but I did have a set lug lights when I had the tire mounted on the normal carrier. I will try to find something interesting to do for a new third brake light. I am trying to make things easy to remove so that if I decide to throw the hard top back on it will be easy.

Yeah...much better. Was way to high before. Looks really nice now. I like the look with the top and the spare location. That works. I would definitely move your LP, and try and work a 3rd light into it. To much empty space on your carrier. LP, 3rd light and your spare 20" LED would work really well. Look forward to your end result.

Thanks for sharing Brian. Awesome work...

What brand of headlights and fog? Did you have to make focus adjustments?

I like the halos on the fogs. Between the both. That looks sick Nick. Very cool. And BTW. I like the inserts on the grille too. I have them on my JK. Nice look.

Has the GF noticed the changes?? Lollll.

I was able to flip my tire mount on the angled carrier and install my lug lights. It worked out pretty well. I think I might add one more light in place of the wheel center cap. But brake lights done for now and fulll time camera mounted. I have an idea for moving the LP and adding some bolt lights. Hopefully I will get a chance to work on it tomorrow nights after work.

Close up of just the 3/4” lug lights. Hard to get a good clear picture but they almost look like evil eyes in person.

What do you have for your center light? Any pictures or maybe a brand/model of the light? If have seen them talked about in other threads but never paid attention to the size of the light.

This what I'm using right now. I'm afraid if I use an angled spare carrier. I won't pass inspection. And again....dumb asses running up on me. Loll. I really like your set up.But I'm concerned my 3rd light won't be seen if I install an angled carrier.

I felt the same about mine, they are only 3/4” lights and sit within the lug holes so I didn’t think they would be visible but with the angle and the height they can be seen very well.

It's a brand called xprite, for em from bestledsforless.com they're not the same quality as jw speaker of course but 1/3 of the price. Ya just for the fogs I had to raise em up a bit, took about 15 seconds.

Got around to finishing the tire carrier bracket and added a center cap brake light to go with the two lug lights.

    Cleaned up and bed lined
    E1D51BBB-7176-41D6-9ACF-B49A7012684B.jpg
Installed and ready for tire. In the future I might cut the bracket length down but for now I am going to leave it and possibly it for mounting something else.

Picked up this red marker light for 6.00 at harbor freight. It is a perfect fit pushing in from the backside.

    Final product wired up.

Still need to get the LP moved over and will hopefully get a couple of flatbar pieces cut, painted, and mounted today or tomorrow.

Nice work Brian. Looks great. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. After further research, the carrier I liked. I needed to spend like another $600. Don't see that happening any time soon. Buts yours looks awesome.

Kinda hesitate on posting this. But I thought I'd put it out there to see if I'm not the only member with this issue.

Ok...I read the reviews. Saw a few had issues. Thought it was because they didn't follow certain instructions. Well....i followed them....to the T. And still had issues. Laid all parts in the sun, for hours. Even lubed zippers.

Quadratecs Adventure Top S. Their equal to Best Tops Trec Top NX. Both from what I've seen. Require certain special attention. Which again....i did.

So here's what I ended up with after about 2 hours of fighting with it. And 3 hours of laying in the back yard getting a tan. The Top....not me. Lol

    20171001_162315.jpg 20171001_162253.jpg 20171001_162226.jpg
Not even close. Easy a 2 " gap to close the zipper on the passenger side. Back window zipper split open. Also numerous other issues with the sail fins and the body closures.

The only reason I'm posting. Has anyone else installed this top? Did you have the same issues? Of coarse I plan on calling Quadratec. And I'm very confident I will be happy with the outcome. Refund..replacement top...Either way. I like this top. And I want it on my JK. Stay tuned for update, and any help you guys may have.

I can’t speak to the QT top but the Best top was a very snug fit. I made the initial install and wasn’t able to complete the zipping but I left it partially zipped for a couple of days and after that I haven’t had any issues taking in off or putting it on. I never had any issues with the zipper splitting on me. Their customer support is also top notch and was able to help me out with a bonehead issue that I won’t go into further details on :)

Not sure what carrier you currently have but I am into my modification for about 10-15.00 in angle and a 10.00 can of paint. Took about 30min to build but I have a fairly stocked shop at work so having the tools on hand helped with that timeline a lot.
