There's spray ons. They suck. I'd go with brush on's. Better coverage. More time spent. But better in the long run.

Sorry dude. I don't mean to state the obvious. Not just a clear coat. Polyurethane. Big difference. Polyurethane seals the wood. Clear coat does just that. It looks Shiney. Lolll.

Boy you really know your wood. My 2 cents...extra dabs on the edges since they are more penetrable

Yeah, it just brushes on. I used a cheap brush from a dollar store, and slopped the stuff over my table. It actually turned out pretty good.

Lol, no worries it was just me being a lazy typed. I was meaning polyurethane I might try to get in tomorrow to grab some. It would be nice to get it coated so that it can air out good before I carpet and install it. I also picked up my a Banks Ram-Air from a Facebook for sale group so I might install it tomorrow. Hard to decide what to do with the limited time available.

Installed the banks ram air install that I picked up lastnight. Quick 30 minute install and gives it a better sounds when you get on it and hit 2500rpm. I think it was worth the 100.00 for the sound but only time will tell of there are any other benefits to it.

I also had a chance to pick up some polyurethane and a few more t-nuts for my rear trunk lid.

Pick up 4 locking casters for my hardtop storage cart project to.

    Got her dressed for winter.

I was sad putting the doors back on. Can’t believe that I waited so long to run with them off.

I also replaced my Cibie upgraded headlights with some low cost LED’s with halos.

I really like the looks of them, I think I need to adjust the aiming on them. I am not sure that they put out as much light as my Cibies which were 80w/100w but I like the white 6k color vs the yellowish of the halogen. The halo feature is interesting and fun to play with but it might end up being more of a novelty other than just using them as a DRL.

Was able to set up a custom scene that flashed the Duck colors as well and a nice red/blue flash that I am sure could get me in all kinds of trouble

Yeah agreed. I read it. Lollll. But you didn't answer my question.
Can I please barrow those calf skin soft gloves? I don't see the cost of them in my next upgrade. Lol. Not to mention. How many calfs were slaughtered for your gloves? Are they really that soft???.

Decided to see what it would look like with a slant back tire carrier.

    A31A9819-43E9-4C44-9114-996291DD0A8A.jpg
The tire holding bracket needs to be adjusted down an inch or two which will bring the tire closer to the bracket.

    0C5446D4-4159-49FE-AB96-58855407D869.jpg
I may end up moving the tire holding bracket toward the back of the jeep to kind of cover up the vertical
    F15608CE-6C94-4D6F-9DC3-01FE4D125918.jpg
I am thinking about doing a LP relocate to the extra space on the on the swing out as well as mounting a small LED light bar. I have a spare 20” that I might look at mounting.

Still need to sandblast and paint the slant bracket.

Interesting twist on the spare tire mount. Just wondering whether the tire angle will be ideal when traversing rough terrain. Is that your design concept or an aftermarket part?

It is my design but based off of a few different slant brackets. Most of the aftermarket brackets are designed for specific bumps and I didn’t see one that I could purchase for my brand of bumper.

    B8074D61-C6CE-4E96-A582-29FCC1ABCDBC.jpg

Mine is a fairly simple angle iron bracket that was notched and bent to match the tops angle and then boxed in for support. The tire needs to shift down a fair amount 6-8” I am guessing. Will know for sure when I have time to play around with it. I don’t want it sit quite as far back as the one pictured above.
