Fixed an Airbag rattle I had in the steering wheel. Seems the Factory installs a rubber pad to prevent contact with the steel backing plate, and it can wear thru if off roading, under heavy vibrations. 2 10mm bolts, disco'ed the airbag, and horn, then installed some self adhesive rubber backing all around. Should know this week if its fixed.

    Used this video for reference.

Airbag rattle seems to have been fixed. Gonna take it down a few more annoying trails to see for sure.

I swapped out my shitty stock 6.5 speakers front and rear for some infinity ones, made a dramatic difference.

I'm planning on doing the same over the weekend but I don't know if to do it myself or take it to a place. How's your install?

Piece of cake. The sound bar is a few screws to drop the grill. I cut my ends instead of spending the extra money for the adaptors. The lower dash ones were alittle hard but still easy.

I just ordered some wheel spacers (yeah yeah yeah). I like the look of my stock wheels but also like having the wider stance.

Glad to hear. Most of the comments I read and hear are negative when it comes to spacers.

I thought they would screw up the moment loading of the bearing, and when I did the math, I found that its wasn't any different, and a little better, than after market wheels with less back space. The 1.5" spacers give the same moment loading as a wheel with a 4.5" back space.

It is rather fashionable to put down wheel spacers. Chris is right that they do not load anymore on the ball joints than a wheel which has a similar amount of backspacing. However, you do need to spend a bit more time on maintenance. Since most are aluminum, you should torque them within a few days of original mounting and again a week after that. Then you should check/re-torque them at least every month for a bit.

Not much different than what you should do for a new aluminum wheel...it just takes more work as you need to remove the wheel to check/re-torque the spacer bolts.

    Wheel Safe!

Just ordered a 3.25in rough country suspension lift, 35x12.5r15 mud tires, and a steal front bumper. Everything comes in this week, can't wait to get it on this weekend!!

    Lookin' good fellas.
Problem here-at times I hear a cluncking noise, perhaps rear drive train area, when starting to move forward. Anybody deal with this?

Got the Rugged Ridge hood strut kit last month. Easy to install and neat to see the hood supported like a modern vehicle. But I am not recommending this product! After a few days I noticed that the gap/space between the cowl and hood had slowly increased in size by 1/4". The gas struts might be too powerful for the hinges and the hood appears to be pushed forward. The gas struts are currently disconnected:( . Perhaps lower charged struts might help. So NOT a recommended mod from Rugged Ridge!

Yeah, Ive thought about the struts for the hood, but I like the ability to flip the hood over all the way back when working on things.

AS for what I did this weekend...I re filled my Co2 tank :)
