What “offset” of wheel do I need for my aftermarket wheels. Have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara.

going from stock tires on R18 to 35x12.50xR18 tire and 2.5 inch lift.

Welcome @J clem ...IMO stick with 17" for better selection of AT or MT tires. Jeepers tend to run 4.5-5.25 back spacing to move the tires just out the flares otherwise 1.5" wheel spacers with OEM wheels should be fine.

Welcome to the forum @J clem. Agree with @aggrex. Tire selection is much great at the 17" size. Also. Going from stock 17" and whatever your stock tire size is, to 18s, will throw your speedometer and tranny shifting off. There are several computer reprogrammers on the market. Personally, I use the Flashcal Superchip.

    ^ +1

For 35s I like to shoot for 4.5" BS, but we don't have any laws about sticking out past the fender.
Try to stick with backspace measurements as offset will change depending on wheel width.

If you still have the plastic air dam up front you'll have to trim it some. No biggie.

    Good luck!!

    My stock wheels are 18”
    I’m staying with R18 but,
going with 35x12.50 tires and 2.5” lift. I’m trying to order new 18” aftermarket wheels to support the 35” tires. I can choose offset, +1mm, -12mm, +19mm, -13mm, etc...

I don’t know how to determine which ones I need.

Gotcha. Your Sahara did come stock with an 18in wheel. The R, stands for radial. Has nothing to do with tire size. . But stock tires are p255. Which is approx a 28 in tire. Your looking to jump to 35s. Again....There's several other issues your going to have to address.
The offset sizes your listing....1mm, 2mm. Etc. Me personally. I'm not fimilar with those offsets.
Hopefully some one will jump on that did the research for you.

If OFFSET is what you insist......try this link: and this is the best time to make the decision on wheel size 17 vs 18

Like I mentioned previously, offset will vary depending on wheel width. So you'll have to tell us the wheel width for us to answer the question.

I use this tire size calculator - (https://tonybassogm.com/wheels-tires/tire-size-calculator/) because it is exactly intended to measure the tires of the jeep. Here I have found tire size specs and suggested tire sizes for my Wrangler!

    paid cash for it.
I use a -12mm offset with a 4.5” backspace with 17x9 rugged ridge XHD wheels. The tires are 285/70/17.
