Ok guys I have a stupid question. I'm new to this my first one I've had about 6 months 2002
My question is how do you zip the rear window in, it binds in one of the 2 top corners and it takes me an hour to get it back in
    It's a pain in my a**

Not really sure how just how a TJ rear zip up window works. On my CJ the usual procedure is to roll it up and use these two straps to retain it. There is an issue with the straps as they will leave permanent marks on the plastic window. So I just up zip each side and with the buttons on the bottom attach them to the roll bar that I have added some snaps to which prevents the scratching from those two straps. If that helps.

It's not rolling the rear window, its zipping it up after its removed rezipping it back in, zipper hangs in the top corners

So it sounds like your having an issue getting the zipper to zip around the sharp corners where the zipper binds up. So if this is correct I might suggest spraying the teeth with silicone spray. That is what I use to assist with the zipper operation. Also Lemon Pledge works great with cleaning the clear plastic.

I've been talking to another Jeep owner bout their YJ.
These tops are so fricking particular. You need to zip up each zipper in a certain order. Or their a pain in the ass.
Try zipping up the rear just an inch or so. Then do the windowsbout the same. Just enough to get them started.
I have a JK with an after market top. And it is a pain in the ass to zip up windows. But I did find if I do back window first. It does seem to help. Just take it slow not to bust one. And....it does help to be set out in the sun. It softens up the windows, and makes them easier to stretch.
    Hope this helps. @MagMan

When we bought our '04 TJ, the back window zippers had separated near the corners. Took me a whole day to walk them back and get the window out without damaging the zippers. At that point, I used candle wax to lube each side of the zippers, then reinstalled it. Yes, the corners are a PITA. What I found was when trying to get the zippers past the corners, use one hand to pull on the outside pull tab while reaching in the gap with your other hand and simultaneously pulling on the inside tab. This helps to distribute force evenly to both sides of the zipper which makes it easier to get around the corners.

You can also use paraffin wax in the zipper teeth to lube it without it being greasy.

On my CJ, after unjipping the rear window, I have installed snaps to the sport bar that I connect the rear window snaps to. That way it protects it from any more scratches than it already has, especially when there is a lot of trail dirt on it.

I used to put a towel up to mine and roll it up in the glass so it didn't scratch. Worked very well.
