Lockers?!? Which ones do I get ?!

    Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
    I am not referring to a Limited Slip Differential. Each brand of locker works a little differently. Some are more effective at unlocking than others in the turns. Some don't really like to unlock at all like cheaper lunchbox lockers and their tight ratchet system. Detroit IMO is the smoothest locker. I rarely feel it fighting in turns. The following are 2 videos, 1 from Eaton on Detroit lockers (Eaton and Detroit merged a few years ago), and another from filthy motorsports on comparing all of the locker systems detailed explanations on how they work and what would probably be best for your application.

    Wow. Thank you OFFGRID. That Filthy Motor sports video cleared up numerous questions I had. Awesome. When I'm ready to convert to a locker. I have a much better idea what I want and will work best for me. Thanks again.:)

    Does anybody know if it's illegal to drive with no front fenders in nj ? Thanks and thank you cowboy for your setup I'll deff do more research into that as I was going to buy the arb air kit.

    Driving without fenders? Well ymmv in your state or civil servant in your district. The fenders do have some benefit keeping crap and rocks off the already rock magnet windshield. Some jeepers in some states are starting to notice driving doorless may be problematic.

    I don't know if it's against the law here in NJ. But you won't pass inspection. It's considered a safety issue.

    Depends on state and some local ordinances. In Texas yes against the law. In Some parts of Utah they have made buggies legal (most have no fenders) providing they are otherwise street legal.

    Fenderless for few days , few people said they really like it . I think it's cool but it's temporary untill I can afford those fenders I want . Lmk your thoughts keep in mind as always this far from done gunna build up the front and then move on to the back . Very soon I will get my own place so moving will be in the way of getting parts for while . I will post the build process in This forum as always through out the future . Thanks for reading.

    Hmmm that fenderless look is cool as the tire treads are fully visible as well as the RC inner fenders. Such a no nonsense aggressive look.

    You going to install flat fender flares? That would be a sick look,with the RC inners. I'm eventually going with flats and inners.

    Getting back to lockers , that Detroit locker looks great option . Can somebody send me link to the correct locker for me ! I have stock gears 2014 sport Wrangler.

    Another question before I buy lockers or limited slip

    Which is better for mud ?!?!
    Air lockers or E lockers ether those or limited slip, thanks

    I run Detroit full lockers in the rear axle of all my jeeps. I have an Eaton eLocker in the front of my cj and an ARB air locker in the front of my JK. I like them both. Call summit racing, tell them what you have and they will tell you what you need to order for your vehicle. They are also usually the cheapest around and if they are more expensive it is not by much. Definitely worth the extra few cents for the no hassle returns and great customer service.
