ORACLE Lighting Oculus Bi-LED Headlight Installed

Got a little tired of my LED bulbs installed into me EM Halogen housings. Needed more, and BETTER light output. The LED bulbs just don't cut it. The light output is full of artifacts, and just isn't clean or accurate. I had to aim them pretty far down to prevent oncoming drives getting glare. I researched a while, and found these relatively new to the market LED Headlights from Oracle. I ordered a set and just got them installed. They had them in stock when I ordered, and shipping was pretty quick. Customer service was VERY good! Answered all of my questions when I called! The package included everything needed for a clean installation. Tap for fuse box, fuse, light adjustment tool (allen wrench ). all wiring, etc. The lights and everything was nicely packaged, with 1" of a foam padding protecting the contents from damage. The only tools needed would be a crimping tool, and a 10mm wrench/socket. I used a few small zip ties, heat shrink tube, and a small flat head screwdriver to aid in pulling the grill tabs out.

On to the installation!

Pull these 6 Pins off the top of the grill:



There are a lot of videos on how to remove the grill, and I didn't take a picture of me pulling it off, but just pull near the bottom, along the sides, and the grill pops right off:




Use a 10mm socket, and remove the 3 bolts holding the lights on, and they come right off. Unplug the harness, and set the headlight aside:




Take the included harness, and run it under the airbox, along the passenger side, up to the fuse box. Using the included Fuse Tap, crimp the Fuse tap to the Red wire, and connect to the #52 spot in the Fuse Box. This is a Keyed power point for the 12v receptacle inside:



The JL comes with a few ground locations, so I used the one closest to the front (lowest in picture) as I already have some peripherals connected:



Run the wires to the headlights. Longest one to the driver side. Then, plug into the new headlight! The Wiring harness we just connected to the fuse box is used to power the Halo lights. Connect both harnesses to the new light. The OEM plug should "snap" right in. THe plug for the Halos can only be installed one way, so check to make sure the notch lines up when you plug it in. There is a threaded collar to help keep the connection water tight, so be sure to thread it together once the Halo connection is made:



Test the lights and make sure everything works. After all looks good, put the grill back on, and enjoy!!




That's it! When it gets dark, or you have a garage, check the adjustments, and enjoy!

NOTE* Before installation, pull off the rubber plugs covering the adjuster bolt on the back side of the Oculus Bi-LED Headlamps. Its easier to pull these off before they are installed. Make your adjustments after installation, and you can put the plugs back on. ​

I was a little hesitant, as many reviews are a bit biased, and no one wants to admit they threw their money away, BUT......Here are the night shots! Im pretty satisfied!




And I positioned my jeep at a small angle, so you can see how far it stays tight!
