GAS PROBLEM

    Need help 83 cherokee 4.2 auto if it sits for any length of time it won't start it will crank but no fire further investigation shows no gas in the glass filter before the pump gauge shows half tank where's the gas

    Fuel Injection, Dana 44s, T18, 4.10s w/lockers
    There could be a bad fuel pump or cracks in the fuel hoses. One location for a cracked fuel line is the hose right out of the tank. After checking all the fuel lines, check for fuel line pressure.

    As mentioned check fuel line pressure. Since its an '83 its probably best to inspect/replace any rubber lines and fuel filter too.
