    Hi guys-
I'm replacing the radiator, water pump and thermostat on my 2001 TJ.
Would you recommend using the paper gaskets that come with the pump and thermostat or use RTV silicon gasket maker?
I've used the paper gaskets for years, but I suspect the RTV might be the way to go....
I would appreciate learning from your opinions and experience.
    Thanks in advance !!

You could use both. Just be sure to super clean the mating surfaces.

Just an update to hopefully inform others....
I installed a new water pump and new thermostat with a new thermostat housing. I tried the hi-temp RTV on both and they both leaked.
Reinstalled with traditional paper gaskets and they work great...Leak free. I've used RTV on my differentials and it has worked great. Not so much on the water pump and thermostat...
