Getting code for throttle position sensor

    2Inch lift sitting on 275 75r Mickey Thompson Deegon 38s.
    Replaced and got the code for the tps.any suggestions.have done reset ecu. Totally confused on what happen.thinking bought a faulty one maybe.

    5.7 V8 with Whipple Supercharger, TH350 w/B&M Shifter, NP205 TC, Dana 60 front 4.56, GM 14 bolt 10.5 rear 4.56, 4 wheel discs, Bilstein shocks, 6" lift on 37's, Autometer gauges, all led lighting and a few other things.
    What engine? I know there's no way to adjust the TPS on the 4.0 HO engine. You can test it with a multimeter.
    With ignition on, check TPS output voltage at sensor wiring harness center terminal. At idle, output voltage should be about .2 or less. Gradually open throttle plate. Voltage should increase as throttle plate is opened. At wide open throttle, output voltage must be less than 4.8 volts. If voltages aren't right, make sure 5-volt input and ground wires between TPS and engine controller are okay.
    If wiring is ok, but voltages are out of range, you probably got a faulty TPS.

    What is the code? Just post ALL codes system shows.
    What issues symptons are you addressing?
    Is the AIRBAG light ON ?

    Confirm a 2000 WJ GRAND cherokee and a 4.0L engine?

    P0121 was the code.so I put the old one back in no code.was gonna test new one but tried old one again.i think it's faulty.and yes my air bag light is on.is it related.thanks

    @Awreta is asking all of the right questions. P0121 and air bag light can be linked through a faulty clockspring.
    Disconnect battery, unplug clockspring harness, reconnect battery. Clear codes and see if P0121 code returns wit new sensor installed.

    Where is the clock spring harness.sorry new to this just thought it would be simple.airbag light has been on before this problem.no code with old tps.im in my jeep now acually.no check engine. Air bag light is.

    Clockspring is in steering wheel. Harness runs down steering column.
    If your tps code doesn't come back, problem solved. May not even be related to air bag light. If tps code pops up again, you might want to try disconcerting clockspring and see if code will clear without changing tps.

    All good on tps.it was faulty.running much stronger.airbag light this weekend.thanks for all the help .
