Hello! I have a 2020 Renegade with the 2.4L engine. I remember when I was researching it before buying it that there was some mention of the engine using oil, but obviously it wasn't enough to deter from buying one : ) Now, I'm not really positive if it was the 2020, maybe that's why i bought one anyway, however, mine does use oil between changes and I have never owned a vehicle that did that. In my previous research, the engine/model in question was being replaced or something because it was an identified issue. Does that ring a bell with anyone and if so, which year/engine does that apply to? I have searched the web recently and not found anything.

In addition to doing some late research before and after a purchase focusing on your vehicle should be the primary task now. Oil loss from leaks? Oil stains on the ground? Blue smoke from the exhaust? A quart or more between oil change intervals? Buying a 2020 = used vehicle with unknown history or service records? Have the motor inspected by a competent trusted mechanic who should be able to diagnose the issue(s).

aggrex... I purchased the vehicle brand new in 2020, no oil stains on the ground, no smoking, etc. It just uses oil. My question was not what should I do now. I'm looking for answers to my question, not condescending criticism.
I especially like how you boldfaced the 'late'.....

Hard to tell initial ownership / maintenance history from a new / first post about oil consumption problems but regardless of any reports focus on your engine and make the necessary repairs. Start with a competent trusted mechanic to determine where the oil is going. FYI: oil usage between oil change intervals for some vehicles may be normal unless excessive

It is impossible to know exactly what your oil consumption issue is without looking at and test your vehicle. With that being said the 2020 renegade with the 2.4 L engine is under recall for bad piston rings which is why they consume oil. If memory serves they go through 1qt every 1,000 miles or there about. The best thing you can do is call your local Jeep dealer and give them the vin number and they can pull the recall up and get you in for an engine replacement.

You bought a vehicle with an engine you knew was well known for using oil, and, surprise surprise, it uses oil.
If you don't wrench, go find someone who does. The engine can be diagnosed to figure out why it's using oil (rings, valve guides, etc) and then repaired.
