Swapping a late 60’s Jeepster Buick Dauntlesd V6 for a later model Buick Supercharged V6 3800?

    2023 Grand Cherokee L, Willy’s Wagon , Willy’s Jeepster
    Has anyone tried or had experience with swapping a late ‘60’s Jeepster Buick Dauntlesd V6 for a later model Buick Supercharged V6 3800 cid ? I heard a rumor that the newer V6’s actually match up to the earlier model transmission bell housings . Obviously I would upgrade safety issues like tires , brakes and steering as well.
