Hello, looking for help, 1985 Jeep CJ7. Windshield wipers stop in a vertical position at straight up. I did some research and it was suggested it was the wier motor. I replaced the wiper motor and I have the same exact Problem. Wiper motor works fine, intermittemnt works fine but when the switch is turned to off, they always rest at center. They will not return to the home resting position.

The CJ/YJ wipers park at a specific angle on the windshield. Perhaps remounting the wiper arms into the desired position when the system is off?

I'll clarify this reading some other posts. I believe the wipers are on the stems correctly, they properly travel to passenger side, and then to drivers side, but end up parking in the center position. Ive replaced the motor, and just ordered a new switch.
