I have a front driver's door problem where the door is dropping down & now the latch is partially busted out & I have sort of fixed it with a couple washers around the bolts. Here's the question-if the hinge parts on the body don't move & the bottom hinge on the door is the problem, will a new door fix it?
Sorry if I sound dumb but my hubby is totally disabled & I have to do things myself & I am an oldish lady with no auto experience...

I'm not positive but are there brass bushings in the hinge that wear out and need to be replaced? That is how it is in the older chevys.

Welcome! As mentioned, check bushings, otherwise, you might have to replace the hinges.
