Hey jeep fans, I just picked up a 2001 wrangler Tj 4 cylinder with a rod knocking.. new to the jeep world, is it easy to swap to a 4.0? Will the 4.0 bolt up to my transmission? What's best and easiest swap

I'm pretty sure it won't bolt up. Your best bet is to find a complete motor tranny combo with computer harness in a junkyard or from someone parting out or someone swapping in a v8.

That's what I thought, I'd love to do a 4.0 or a v8 swap just didn't know how big or a pain it would be.. it's just gonna be a country cruiser for my wife so I'd rather keep it simple

I'm doing a 98 2.5 to a 2.5 as far as taking it out and putting it in.
