2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Rattle no check engine light

    Hello Everyone!

    I'm new to the forum and have a question. My Jeep begins to make a rattling sound (popcornish metallic sound) once its warmed up AND I'm accelerated past about 35 miles per hour. No check engine light has activated and I'm confused as to what might be the cause. I've youtubed it, googled it and I'm stumped. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Metallic rattling sounds could be from the rusty heat shield on the exhaust most likely surrounding the catalytic converter. Depending upon how much rusty heat shield remains one could use a stainless steel band clamp to stop the rattling or just take the rusty section off.
