    First Name:
    2008 Jeep Liberty
A couple of months ago my Jeep started acting up. Wipers and wiper fluid would start without warning, horn would blow randomly, high beams randomly going out. After doing a lot of research, I came to the conclusion that the TIPM had went bad.

I ordered a remanufactured TIPM from my local Jeep dealer and installed it yesterday. The install process was pretty simple. After installed, I turned the key to the ON position for 12 seconds, turned it off, tried to start, and now it just cranks, but wont fire (I also noticed the radio does not power on, but everything else seems normal). Very discouraged, I put in the old TIPM, so I could at least get the Jeep to the dealer and have them fix it. But now with the old TIPM installed, it does the exact same thing. It just cranks, but never fires.

I dont know what I could of done to have caused this. I would think putting the old TIPM in would at least get me back to being able to drive it. All connections seem tight, and i'm not sure where to go from here. Anyone have any info on changing TIPMs and what might have went wrong?

Im hoping someone may have an idea for me to try before I have to hire a tow truck to tow my Jeep to the dealer and then spend a lot more money on something I feel I should be able to fix myself.

    Thanks in advance!
