Turned vehicle on and it was in 2wd but 4wd light is on and it feels like 4wd Hi is engaged. Any way to get it to f lip back into 2wd or is this just a shop issue? It has not been in 4wd in months.

Welcome! Start with some simple steps first. Did you try putting the AT in neutral and/or reverse and backing up just a bit? Engage + disengage the system in loose gravel or dirt? Determine whether you have the SelecTrac Full Time case or Command Trac. Otherwise the issue could be shift linkage adjustment.

Its the command trac. I did try all your suggestions with no luck.

Thank you for the welcome and for responding though.

I finally pulled the transfer case fuse J2 and it disengaged. I'll take it to the shop and get it repaired. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Good move on the J2 fuse! Curious to know what the shop finds.
