I would put a meter on battery to see if you have 12.5 to around 13 volts. If not you need a battery or Alt may have a problem or you could have left key on etc etc etc.

Buddy called me last month and all that would come on was his lights. I told him to meter his battery. He argued with me saying his battery was new. So I said ok and had him go thru a bunch of checks and get back to me. Got a phone call the next morning he decided to meter his battery after lots of other checks and it was 5.3 volts. New battery after a month went bad, They replaced it and all is fine. Sorry for long story but just showing that start with the simplest 1st and then go forward. Even new parts can be bad. Any who do that then post up results and we can go from there.

Thanks, I'll try that but I drove home with the headlights on and seemed normally bright.

I'm sorry, read your post again and see now that you jumped the clutch to start it. I thought you jumped it with cables. My bad.

Not enough information on what the symptoms are:

By "does not turn over" do you mean the starter does not turn the engine or that nothing happens when you turn the key??

If you turn the key and nothing happens (does not turn over) it can be plenty of things. As Hillbilly said, check the battery. Having your lights work does not mean anything...they were running off the alternator at that point. Starter can be an issue as can the solenoid. And yes, the Neutral Safety Switch can also be the issue. All of those would cause it not to turn over but be able to pull start.
