I'm looking to learn about what shops small or large do the diesel install conversions in North Texas. Thanks.

I do not know if you will find any shops to do it, but I can help you out with engine mounts if you decide to do it yourself!

I read a thread a while back on a guy who did an old 80s Mercedes 5 cylinder diesel engine. He did the whole conversion for under a grand. His thread was very thorough and detailed. The Mercedes makes about the same HP and torque as the 258, and weighs the same as well. He got 30+/- mpg. I think I saw the thread on www.CJ-8.com I'll see if I can find that link and post it later.
