When I bought the Jeep the drive train was apart I put in a new transfer case clutch and put it back together. Is the spedometer an electrical connection? On the transmission? I think I put everything together properly. Or is it in the dash which I hope it is not.

The 94 YJ speedometer is electronic all the way from the sensor at the transfercase to the speedometer bezel unit. There are 2 possibilities here. The sensor is malfunctioning or the speedometer bezel unit is malfunctioning. It is easier to change out the sensor. 1 bolt and 1 plug. To get to the speedometer housing the whole dash as to come out.

Thank you. I will start at the transfer case. And hope it's just the sensor
