Ahh. I got really excited about this. Thanks for posting aggrex. Then I see it's at Rausch Creek, and I can't make it. Sucks. Any other weekend. Are you going aggrex? Would like to hear about your experience.

That's what the issue is. The time to get there.

Naa. No date. Wish it was. :(. Not at RC? Where at? I searched it. Previous events where at RC. Where's this one. If I can get up north and back to this with my Brother. I'd go. I'm sure we' d have a blast. Not to put a negative twist on this. But my issue. My brother has MS. And he's been asking me to take him 4 wheeling. Since he's wheel chair bound. Always figure he's busting my ass. And thought if I could really take him....well. Would be a good day for both of us. Sorry if I put a negative twist on this. No joke as this point. :). It's all good.

It was awesome and I'm glad I installed the armor. The "beginner" 101 off road driving instruction was great, the instructor was patient and made sure everyone made it through (no one left behind). At the end he decided to throw a few advanced sections into the group like double off-camber u-turn, door sill-to-hood water fording, narrow path with huge dirt mound on one side and large rocks awaiting....some big dangerous potentially damaging rocks. I was concerned about crushing the Magnaflow dual tips but luckily only had a few small scratches. For a "beginner" 101 off road driving instruction, my JK is coming home with paint stripes and rock rash. I'll know more tomorrow when I wash the dirt off...LoL. At least I won't be confused with a mall crawler especially since i don't go to the mall much anymore. If this is only the "green trail" I'm definitely not ready for the blue>black>reds as I will need a 2.5" lift and 35s sooner than later.

Awesome dude. Looks and sounds like it was a good time. A great learning experience. Really wish I could have went. The one pic you posted. The guy looks very concerned about rock rash. Lol. I've been talking to the guy I sold my original tires to. He runs Rausch Creek several times a year. I know this wasn't at RC. But he's been telling me about the trails. And honestly. I have no issues running the green Bunny trails. My JK maybe set up and ready for some moderate blue trails. Just not ready at this point for rock rash.. Again.....can I barrow those soft calf skin gloves. Lolll.

Looks like it was an awesome time aggrex. Thanks for sharing.

    Awesome pics. Thanks aggrex.

I'm curious as to what type of instruction they gave you guys. Here's a giant puddle....just run thru it. Here's some rocks....your gonna get rock rash....make the best of of it. Ya know what I mean. I know Jeep Jamboree does Coal Twsp. It's not free. But I'm curious as to the trails, and what instruction AOAA gives. Future reference.

Edit. And I notice most of the Jeeps are stock. Was that an issue for those guys?

To inspire some confidence they assured the group that we would not suffer any damage short of crashing into big boulders or trees. They made sure everyone was in 4 LO and provided AT/MT instructions. However they did not state that the trails would be narrow to pin stripe or have rather large sharp jagged rocks that want to kiss the JK's butt/bottom on every turn. They did warn about driving through the puddles (mini-POND) and not turning the JKs into submarines...LoL
Overall great personal navigating instructions were given plus each vehicle had a walkie-talkie. Instructions to activate BLD in 4 LO helped the two non JKs survived the course though not unscathed: Renegade/Patriot. I got a few memorable pin stripes, one muffler tip has a scrape and the RH armor paid dividends but it goes with the territory while jeepin off road=FUN. Met some fellow jeepers and each run was about 3hr separated by lunch.
Plans for the next time: Lift>tires>magnetic body panels and whatever else to protect the daily driver.

Nice night to buff it all out

Did it buff out? :itllbuffout:. Sweet awesome write up dude. Despite your injury report. Which i would expect to some extent. . Any time you run off road. Would you run it again??.

Again...awesome post. My issue. If they know there's a chance for any damage. Do they relay that to you? Which I have no issue with. Just warn me. Ya know. I may get some rock rash or weed lashes. Just let me know.lollll.
Awesome aggrex. Thank you. Awesome post.

IMO pin striping should be expected and road rash for the wheels as you pick the line. My OEM rims are still pretty so I must have picked the right line each time. These adventures will help us understand what the JK is capable of and help you be more selective on accessories that make a difference, i.e.: PS tramp plate...LoL

Get it...got it...good...I got it. Again.....thanks aggrex. Awesome write up. Would I run it....yes. And only based on your write up. I can deal with the scratches. As long as I don't have to replace links, diffs, and such. As long as I can drive it home. I'm good.

Again...thanks for the write up aggrex . Awesome..

Oh... Another question. Did those soft calf skin gloves come in handy?

Na dude. Thought I addressed that. Full size spare. Apparently you were playing with your "power tools" when I posted that. Tramp Stamp not in my future. "Full Sized". That's all I'm sayin..

#1 key is 4 Lo for low-speed maneuvers, control and torque to avoid breaking things

So now your full-sized? Don't let mafiamama hear that.... Yeah those corinthian gloves would be perfect for extricating a rock thats up your JK bottom
