About 70% of the time I go in reverse, the back up screen shows this.

Welcome @aparlick ...being a '17 it should be covered 3/36k. So the other 30% of the time it works perfectly? On a non-jeep out of warranty the rear camera stopped working for about a year with either a black or blue screen or not at all. Lately the rear camera started working again. Not sure if there was a bad connection or broken wire.

Leased the car nov 2016, still under the lease right now but that ends in February 2020. I think I’m actually over the 36k miles

Lease should be covered under contract. I'd call the dealership. It's their vehicle. Your just borrowing it.

    Hi,
The display on my 2017 Cherokee started doing this just today. It has worked perfectly, even this morning. Then, all of a sudden a few hours later, it looks like the picture that aparlick posted. Mine is out of warranty. Any ideas what is causing this?

Any one figured out whats causing this? Do u notice its related to the trunk door movement? Maybe a loose wire?
