    I have a 94 YJ with 4.0, I am looking for a diagnostic tool to read my engine like codes. What would you recommend that wont brake the bank?

    I don't own a pre-1996 vehicle anymore but these vehicles require the OBD I scan tool with the right connector. Amazon might be a good source. I'm sure some Jeeper with a pre-1996 will chime in.

    Subbed. I'm not sure if an OBD I would be the one you need or not.
    *Edit: OBD2 was standardized in 1996, so I'm guessing yours is OBD1, but aggrex already addressed the issue.....so I'm mostly talking to myself at this point
