I have a gas leak I noticed while pumping gas. Thought there was a hole on the bottom by the way it was leaking. Jumped under the Jeep and seen the gas flow running from the top of the tank. I had no choice but to drive it home and check it out when I got there. Took some pictures and not sure where the leak is actually coming from, because the two connectors seem to be flush. What else could cause a leak on top of the fuel pump ? Could the fuel filter being put on wrong cause this after long use ?

Good catch, it appears to be leaking where the fuel outlet line goes into the top of the tank. There are replacement parts available for those connectors and your local auto parts should have them. If that is not the issue you will probably have to get creative. At least you know where it is at. Good luck getting at it! Sometimes you can go into YouTube and find a good way to repair it: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query='93+Grand+cherokee+gas+leak+at+fuel+filter For the fuel flow direction at the filter, it should be indicated on the filter.
