I've had to replace my left hood latch twice in less than a year and it's broken again. This happens when I pass an oncoming semi or other large vehicle. It's my back-up mail jeep- I don't even drive it that often- and I'm tired of having to stop to gorilla tape it down to get me through my route. I ordered the latches from rock Auto- is that the problem? Are there better quality latches to be had?

I agree with aggrex. I purchased
Rugged Ridge | Hood Catch Kit, Black Aluminum | 11210.15 | Fits 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ and they work great.
