So I owen a 2004 Jeep grand Cherokee with the 4.7 v8. I'm not a mechanic and need some advice!!!
She has 143k miles and has many leaks!! The coolant is gone after about 3 weeks, but she never over heats. Burns a quart ever 1,000 miles! I know I have many seals and gaskets to replace. She smokes for sure when at idle(white) Reving(blue and white).idk if this is bad to do but instead of coolant ive been filling it up with water.I honestly don't know if I should be doing that (I'm not a mechanic, I'm a welder. My upstream o2 sensor on the driver went out and I have a good feeling the driver side head gasket has gone bad, From what I've read all over the Internet.
My head gasket has oil burning around it.
My area of worry is the head gasket and exhaust manifold.
I don know what seal and gaskets are around those area. Internet isn't giving me picture or answer. If anyone knows where to get great adorable gasket and seal kits please let me know
