I have a 98 jeep cherokee classic. Lately, it will not startup..will crank, won't turn over..if the dashboard is hot. I only have issues when the dash is hot...considering its summer, I'm having problems everyday. For now, as long as I put a sun visor in the windshield while it's parked in the sun..it starts right up. If not, it will crank and crank but never turn over. Replaced quite a few parts now..nothing works. Only code is for the crankshaft sensor. Any ideas?? I plan on replacing the crankshaft position sensor..but think it could be something else..computer? Etc?

Hey jeepgirl! So I haven't ran into a no start from a dash getting hot... If you have a crankshaft position code I would start by replacing the sensor and just for the sake of doing it I would check your fuses. Crank sensors are very common on those and it might be coincidence on the no start symptom with the dash.
