My 84 CJ7 won't start. Battery and silenoid have been replaced. Starter works when bypassed but won't catch.

Not sure what you mean by "won't catch"? When bypassed does the engine turn over and it jus won't start?

When you turn the key to start it, does the motor turn over? If not I would double check all of your wire routing especially that around the solenoid, starter, and battery and make sure it is all correct.
