    I am looking for 2 hard to find parts for my 96 Cherokee SE: part # 5AW68JS1 - front, passenger arm rest; and, #55001299 - center console hinged lid latch. Both of these parts are discontinued; have tried salvage and NOS sites. Any suggestions??? Thank-you!!!

    Any chance you would install a 97 or newer center console. They still make parts for the 97-01 Cherokee console.

    Thank-you - I will get the armrest and see if I cant make a latching device (hate to buy the whole console for a $5.00 part).

    I just called wholesalemopar and, while the part number for the arm rest is in their catalog, they don't have it in stock nor do they know where to find one... Of the two items, the armrest is more important.
