I just bought an NP231 from a guy who took it out of a 2005 TJ v6 automatic trans. I can't find anywhere that says what the diameter of the input shaft.

Would I be able to run the transfer case with anything less than an SYE kit or will I need a new input shaft. I'm not sure as to the length because on Novak it doesn't have the 42rle listed for input shaft length. I know it is a 23 spline which works but is it the same size?

Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
Buy a $15 caliper and measure both your old and new Tcase and compare. Also measure the distance from the mounting surface to the end of the input shaft. A= the distance from end of shaft to mounting surface.
