I have an iPod connected via the USB port on my 2016 Wrangler Sport. Although I can pause play through a voice command, has anyone found some button that can pushed to stop or pause play? There doesn't appear to be a way to pause the CD either. I do not have the touch screen option, this is the more basic option, the one that appears second in the manual. Obviously not critical, just annoying. Thanks.

I know it is not a jeep, but in my wife's volvo when you turn the stereo off by turning the volume to zero, it pauses what ever is playing at that moment. When turned back up it starts where it left off. Maybe that will work for yours too. My Jeep has no stereo. I like to here all the creaks and pops when I'm wheeling listening for an abnormal creak or pop.

You can't pause the ipod? You want to use the radio controls? what about steering controls?

Have you tried pushing the play button again to pause?

OFFGRID thanks for the suggestion but does not appear to work.

SlashX, I would love to push a play button but there is no play, pause, or stop button on this radio. I know you must be thinking there has to be but there's not. There's only seek forward/backward and skip forward/backward. Interesting enough, I can say "pause" as a voice command and it works as does "play" so I know the unit knows how to perform that function but there does appear to be a button on the face of the unit. Same for the controls on the steering wheel.

Can you post a close up pictures of your radio while it is turned on in both CD mode and IPOD mode. This might help others. Also, Have you checked the owners manual. That should have user instructions.

OFFGRID, pic from the manual. As you can see, no stop, pause or play button. I've been through the manual a bunch of times thinking that I must have missed it but there is no mention of pausing or stopping play, even in the context of the CD. You pop the CD in and it starts to play. It stops if you change to radio, satellite, etc. mode but no other way. It's odd.

I found a copy of your owners manual on line. I don't see a play/pause option outside of voice command. You can always power on/off. Is this for your phone? I believe you can program you radio to pause/play when your phone rings and when you hang up. sorry I wasn't more help.
