Soon to replace the transfer case
When it comes to hit my breaks they make a squeaking noise. But I just got my breaks fixed 2 months ago. And idea of what it could be

Some brake installers use an anti-squeal paste on the back side of the pads. Perhaps when you take it back to the shop they will clean the back side of the pads and apply some anti-squeal paste.

While you're on break is it coming mostly from the front or rear?
