I have a 97 GC 5.2 v8. I changed the oil and I know it takes 5 quarts for this engine. Since changing the oil I have checked the levels both hot and cold and it says I have too much oil in it? Any suggestions why and should I just empty a little oil out? Thanks in advance! Happy thanksgiving!!

Welcome! If you put 5 quarts in, I wouldn't worry about it.
