Opened the hood on our Jeep today to check out a few things and found this fella. One of the joys of living in the country. Wife is saying "Sell that Jeep, cheap". IMG_0270.jpg

Wow! That YJ must be running too well to need a look under the hood. Watch out for any others that might have taken residence.

Seriously what aggrex said. You may have a nest some where with babies. But I wouldn't tell your wife that. Lol. She'll make you give the jeep away.,lol.

That snake may not be venomous but any bite will be a "dirty" bite setting you up for some major hurt. Tell you what I can meet you halfway and take the snake-infested Rio Grande YJ far far away at no cost to you.

That snake is a juvenile rat snake. Not uncommon for them to reach 4 - 4.5 ft in length. Common in our area. I see them all the time. Sometimes they show up in some strange places. They are actually a good snake to have around. I've heard for years that if you have rat snakes, then you won't have any other kind. This must be true cause I haven't seen any others. They are not aggressive and if you should encounter one, they will lay absolutely still hoping that you will not see them.

Sweet shot aggrex. Very dramatic. OH MY GOD. Look how big that snake is. RUN.
And buy the way jeepJoc. I wouldn't trust aggrex. He tends to lay low, motionless and wait for the excat moment to strike and take your jeep away from you. And he make take some poking to get him to move. :boink:We found this out when it took like 50 posts to get him finally post pics of his bad ass jeep. Be aware....be very aware of the aggrex. His bite can be dirty. Lol.:goingcrazy:
