Had to replace the idler pulley on mine. First time I raised the hood to check the oiil and had the engine running to warm it up. Saw sparks coming off the pulley and thought to myself "that can't be a good sign." $17 and an engine bath later it is all back together and running again. Didn't get to check the oil until I finished all the work!

I fabricated a flag pole out of a closet rod and old bicycle rack that I had laying around. Fits in my receiver perfect and can attach my hammock when there's only one tree around.

I have been experimenting with rubberized undercoating on a spare hood . I used Bondo heavy duty rubberized undercoating on the hood it's self with brown primer under it and I used permatex heavy duty rubberized undercoating on the scoops.
Everything was great.. looking the way I had pictured ..until I get home from work to see that the scoops have contacted a case of chicken pox. After being in the sun for a day? Still trying to figure out how that happened.. KEY WORD..Experimenting.IMG_20170721_074405497.jpg

That rubberized coating may have look Ok initially but with the hot sun and/or engine temps it's all a HOT mess. Actually a bit obscene if you use your imagination. Going to take some major effort to remove that rubberized coating.

Yesterday I replaced the inner axle seals and ball joints on the axle I am swapping under the 93 XJ. Have to replace the axle shaft u-joints before I put the shafts back in and put on the new wheel bearings.

Swapped the engine and trans out last week. The original had 213K on them and I found a donor vehicle for $500 with only 98K on the clock, runs a lot stronger now. Would have just fixed up the donor if it hadn't been rolled onto it's side. The roof was kinked so in reality, the frame is bent so I will just move all the better parts from the donor to the red one. The front bumper support had been replaced once before and it was bent up a bit again so I replaced that from the donor too. Having that out of the way during the swap made it a LOT easier! Eventually I will replace the springs and shocks on all four corners because the donor rides a bit higher and the shocks have been replaced. The steering linkage because it has a lot fewer and easier miles on it. The lower plastic panels so they will match the grey front bumper. The list will grow and shrink as I move stuff from one to the other and sell off the usable items on Craigslist. What did I get myself into?:annoyed:

You pulled it with the gear stick attached? Or did you put it back in place for the photo?

Are you fixing that one or putting the drive train in another one?

Lots of questions, but inquiring minds want to know!:popcorn::popcorn:

I pulled it with the shifter attached. I tried to release the lock ring but already had it all pretty much dropped so I put the tailshaft of the transfer case on ground and hoisted the engine up in the air and drug her out.

Going to pull the engine from my 97 that was totaled that has 100k less miles and put it in the black 93 in the picture. Going to replace the clutch and flex plate while I am there. Would really like to put in a SYE while I have the tcase out...
