    Got the oil filter adapter Orings replaces, installed the pilot bearing, flywheel, and clutch and got the engine and trans
    /tcase mated together. Was hoping to get the drivetrain back into the Jeep but that didn't work out. Hopefully next Sunday.

    oil gauge reads full scale
    well, on saturday it did. today i did a short warmup run to put in the barn and check the conn. its back to normal?
    im not sure how it works, sender to gauge direct or is it thru the bus. ive heard both.
    ideas why it goes up and then comes back to normal?
    i really dont think the pressure actually changes, connections?
    btw i dont know how to pull the conn. tried b4 and cant move it. moved the red lock tab,wiggled,pulled, no luck.

    btw, running great for 13 months,7000 miles! really happy with it


    part 2;

    finally got to it
    pulled the old one that was working perfect at the time.

    i measured the new one first,three contacts. from one end to mid,70 ohms,l to the other end, 200 ohms. mid to end 130 so it added up and looks like a tapped resistor?
    new one reads the same as old one on the gauge50 lb running hot.
    took the old one inside to measure. could not get a reading under 70000 ohms!! even if i pushed in the hole with a rod! yet it was working when i pulled it??
    btw with the cable unplugged gauge read zero and with the new one plugged on but not mounted also zero.
    i dont know where it would read resistance when running jfyi

    Replaced the front coil springs and swaybar endlinks last weekend as well as universal seat warmers for the front seats. Next project is to put modified traction bars on the rear axle for the stroker motor..... Had way too much wheel hop for my liking lol

    We'll see how it turns out in the end, I'm trying the red metalcast painted over ceramic header paint which I baked first. The pictures don't do it any justice, looks way better in person

    Got the front sheet metal back on, front axle under it with about 75% of the suspension hooked up. It's sitting at ride height, tires are 31s.

    A front receiver hitch and an engine hoist with an 8 ton ram sure do make it easier, a slab of concrete would be nice though.

    Replaced the heater core today, not a fun job. Working great now though

    Didn't get as much done Sunday as I had hoped, having kids will do that to you.
    I removed the rear axle, bumper and trailer hitch to start the shackle relocation bracket install. Couldn't get the shackle to frame bolt out on either side, really hoping the nut didn't break it's weld as it is inside the unibody frame rail.. o_O

    I also extracted a broken ujoint strap bolt from the rear axle yoke and began drilling the yoke for ujoint u-bolts.

    Got the ujoint ubolts, shackle relocation brackets, and entire exhaust system installed. Got the rear axle and driveshaft reinstalled.
    Only issue I had was on the driverside upper shackle bolt the bushing sleeve was trying to come out with the bolt, luckily got it freed without damage to the shackle.

    Been fighting a head cold for a week now so I didn't get much done this weekend.
    I did find out that long brake hoses off a JK Wrangler work well for an XJ with 4.5" lift.

    Got my ride height set at 25” frame height and this is what it’ll look like on 40’s. Also ordered the rest of my parts to start the 4link on the front axle.

    Adjusted the rear brakes on the Daily Driver, and painted the grille/headlight bezels. Like it better than all red. Tried to fix a slight radiator leak but it was somewhere under one end and decided if I am going to pull the radiator I might as well replace it than temp fix it and have to pull it again later.

    On the 93 2 door I installed new rotors and swapped the parking brake assembly from my totaled 97 XJ since the axle I swapped in uses the later style parking brake set up. This will also allow me to swap the console from the 97 as well as the 93 never came with one.
