One day I will have a turbo diesel swapped into my jk. That sucker will haul the rocks and then climb them when it's all said and done

Teraflex. All of the suspension is teraflex as well as axles. Bumpers and rock sliders he built.

Ok guys I'm pulling the trigger soon and think I've made up my mind but I am afraid to say on which one lol.

Thing is it's the brand that got the most hate and is not the greatest but just hear me out.

It's a 4" lift that corrects geometry with long arms which subsequently improves on/off-road performance, increases articulation, and is decent at going more than 5mph in sand and corners. This seems to compliment the treps well.

It also has a warranty that just blows me away. Another buddy just told me that he has damaged 2 control arms and all 4 shocks, mostly at the recent chili challenge, and the manufacturer replaced everything even after he told them he damaged them on the trail. And then he was actually able to repair his current setup so now he has 4 new shocks and 2 control arms sitting in the garage.

The warranty goes a long way for me since I'm a newb and will probly be breaking stuff.

The kit also allows for plenty of upgrades in the future. I can simply add the metalcloak lock n load for some extreme massive articulation. That's just one of many examples. I could even do a coilover conversion and adjust the long arms. The upgrades seem infinite and can be approached in many different angles.

The kit is also half the price of the price of a similar lift kit.

Anyway I'm referring to the RC 4" long travel lol.

    Ok bring it.

It is your jeep. Wheelers that buy RC and Pro-comp for that matter, and spend a lot of time on the road tend to complain about poor ride. Your buddy who broke things and had them replaced under warranty probably would not have broke at all if he was running Teraflex, or BDS. Again a tit for tat. There really is no wrong way to build a jeep. It is all about your preference and needs.

I noticed that nobody ever answered this question for you. OME springs are great on and off the road. Most improved ride for lifted jeep. You got it. The down side is that is really all they make; springs and shocks. So if you want to run their springs, you then source the rest of your lift kit from other companies, like teraflex control arms, fox shocks, Rubi Exp trackbar etc.

Just wondering what you would think about changing springs and shocks to ome after I'm ready to replace the RCs?

Haven't pulled the trigger yet but that sounds like it would be a nice ride as well as off-road capable.

Someone here mentioned holiday sales and since it's so close I may wait a few more days to see if any come up so I there is still time to change my mind on the RC long arm kit.

The other option is the teraflex 2.5 but one thing I don't want to do is go 2.5,3,4 etc. And I couldn't use much of the 2.5 if I choose to upgrade later on. Again where as the RC I'd use much of it until it is replaced by something better like ome shocks/springs, teraflex arms etc.

Someone else mentioned break over angle and that's a factor for me too as I am prone to bottoming out :/

That is a possiblility. This TF long arm kit without shocks is only $400 more than the RC kit you have chosen. Then you order the shocks you want and don't have to go crazy on $200 shocks. the fox 2.0 can be found for like $90 each.. https://teraflex.com/shop_items/58f9446256d70ed493a12238 . I looked at both BDS and Metalcloaks, and man they are proud of their kits aren't they.

Damn right they are!! I have a bit of a Frankenstein lift with some of their parts. I think I paid 140 bucks for the front coil springs and 120 for the rears. Smh. I probably could have found some cheaper coil springs but they also stand behind their product with warranties and good customer service as well. So I went with them. OME is a very popular company. When I had my Tacoma that's just about the only company everybody went with for their lifts. And I did too lol.
